Wednesday 19th June 2024 was Thank a Teacher Day and was also the day that Mrs Hammond received a Certificate of Excellence from the Pearson Teaching Awards for Lifetime Achievement.
Mrs Hammond was very moved that she has won an award. Mrs Hammond has been a teacher for over 30 years and before becoming a teacher she had a career in the Police Force. Mrs Hammond loves teaching so much she has continued well past her retirement age.
